Here is a rare full concert movie file of the seminal English punk band the Clash. The bootleg is of the New Jersey show in 1979, when the Clash were on the London Calling Tour. It shows the band at the height of their powers, performing experimental punk, reggae, ska, and rockabilly with their usual high energy and passion.

This old bootleg was transferred from VHS so the quality is not the greatest, however the sound quality is good having been recorded on the soundboard. I have not seen this show up for download in many places on the internet so I thought I should put it up for all the fellow Clash fans out there. After the show there is also a 4 song Clash performances on an American television program from around the same era. For any Clash fan who wants to experience the Clash live this is vital viewing. It is a real gem.

The show features Mikey Dread performing Armagideon Time and Bankrobber. These songs turn into experimental jams with Mikey toasting over the top, with Bankrobber being easily the best live version of that song I have heard. This show also features Mick Gallagher from the Blockheads on keyboard, which adds an extra dimension to many of the songs. It really is a rocking show, much better than any of the live stuff of the Clash out on DVD at the moment. Enjoy! and leave comments :)

Set List:
Clash City Rockers, Brand New Cadillac, Safe European Home, Jimmy Jazz, London Calling, The Guns of Brixton, Train in Vain, White Man in Hammersmith Palais, Police and Thieves, Stay Free, Julie's Been Working For the Drug Squad, Wrong 'em Boyo, Clampdown, Janie Jones, Complete Control, Armagideon Time (feat. Mikey Dread), English Civil War, Garageland, Bankrobber (feat. Mikey Dread), Tommy Gun.

+ a 4 song performance on American television.

This is a live movie file of the Stiff Little Fingers performing in Belfast in 1980. The Stiff Little Fingers are a band who formed in Belfast in 1977 after discovering punk. The SLF became known for writing music that combined the high energy of punk with infectious pop hooks, while using committed delivery to portrait personal and political lyrics. They released four hit albums and gained a reputation for having an awesome live show before splitting up in 1983. They reformed in 1987 and despite many personel changes are still touring to this day.

This movie file shows a good performance by them performing before an out of control home town crowd. It is high quality having been recorded by the BBC to be shown on television at the time.

Set List:
Gotta Get Away, Johnny Was, Alternative Ulster, Suspect Device.
